Our Story

Two Friends

Our story begins in a Kindergarten classroom way back in 1976. Valerie* was the new student that just arrived to the United States earlier that year. Being the new kid was hard, because she didn’t know any of the other kids. She only spoke a few English words. At lunch she sat alone. She was scared and lonely. At recess, she was too shy to join the games. She didn’t understand the other kids, and they didn’t understand her.

One of the girls saw Valerie cry at recess, and immediately, she came over and asked, ” Can I be your friend?” Her name was Barbara*. From that day on, Valerie always had a lunch buddy. Barbara helped Valerie adjust to school, and they became best friends. Barbara introduced Valerie to her other friends, and she taught her new English words.

They were best friends for five years. Sadly, Barbara became really sick. She was diagnosed with leukemia, and she didn’t live much longer. The friendship between Valerie and Barbara would live on through stories, pictures, and loving memories. It is the inspiration for our Hearts for Friends brand. The symbol of their bond is the two hearts on our leggings.

*We changed the girls original names to protect their identities.

We created Hearts4Friends to allow Girls to have a safe and content filtered platform to share their friendship through experiences and pictures. These friendships can be with their school friends, team or club friends, with their moms, close relatives, or anyone they feel a close bond with. Our hope is that they will share these photos in this platform. The closeness of that bond and experience is represented in our brand and trademark of TWO HEARTS. One for you and one for your friend or friends. Our uniquely designed and comfort silk leggings with the two hearts symbolize friendship that girls can easily wear to show their feelings.
